Set up the Steam Screenshot showcase
The Screenshot showcase puts your favourite game screenshots on your profile: one big one, with smaller ones beside it. Here's how to fill it, and what to use for custom art instead.
How to do it
- Take screenshots in a game with Steam's screenshot key. It's F12 unless you changed it.
- Upload the ones you like to your Steam Community profile from Steam's screenshot manager, and set them to public.
- On your profile, click Edit Profile and open Featured Showcase.
- Pick Screenshot showcase for one of your showcase slots.
- Click each empty spot, choose a screenshot, then save.
Worth knowing
- You get a showcase slot at level 10 and more as your level goes up. Some players report the Points Shop sells extra showcases too.
- Screenshots are tied to the game you took them in. For custom pictures, animated GIFs or one design spread across the showcase, the Artwork showcase is the better fit. The Artwork Maker cuts them to size.
- Your background shows around the showcase. If it's busy, screenshots get lost in it. Our list of calm backgrounds helps with that.
Questions
- How do I get the Screenshot showcase on Steam?
- Showcases unlock with your Steam level. You get your first showcase slot at level 10. Once you have a slot, pick Screenshot showcase for it in Edit Profile.
- Can I put my own pictures in the Screenshot showcase?
- It's made for screenshots you take in games through Steam. For your own pictures, use the Artwork or Featured Artwork showcase instead. Those take any image or GIF you upload.
- Why doesn't my screenshot show up in the list?
- Make sure it's uploaded to your Steam Community profile, not only saved on your computer, and that it isn't private.
